if your hard drive melted and you didn't have a backup, what percentage of your existence would be lost?

like 1 or 2%? the only thing i like to transfer from computer to computer whenever i upgrade is my Images folder where i keep art i've done/avis & backgrounds for profiles/reaction gifs etc etc and even that i wouldn't be heartbroken if i lost, really.

id say around 30%

i do a lot of stuff with my computer, i make games with RPG maker, I write fiction, and projects for my school. All of that is properly backed up rn but since the question says no backup then yeah itd be a huge loss

uh maybe like 20-30%? i mean there's a fair amount of stuff i would've wanted to keep but a looooooot of my important sht's on google drive, so at the worst i'd lose a lot of music (that would be a pain to re-illegally download lol), pictures, random stuff

i've had this happen to me before anyway and it was only a mild inconvenience

I'd lose a few chat logs with some very close friends, but other than that I wouldn't lose much. :T

If anything I'd be relieved to have destroyed the evidence. 0-0

i know you said "if you didn't have a backup" but strangely enough my hard drive is like the backup of a lot of stuff that i put on the internet. so if you were to remove all of the stuff on the internet and then melt my hard drive it'd be like 15-20% at the very most.

This questions more relevant to people who do work on the computer like urself. Id only lose my music files and some old pictures which are memories.

Speaking of i need to reformat my drives because the windows 7 to 10 transfer was total garbage and messed with my reg keys

I had a laptop harddrive from a few years ago, but it's corrupted now. Lost a lot of classic memes.

Possibly just a faulty casing come to think of it but I haven't gotten a new one yet lol
