Anthony is a good guy, an amazing player, and probably a good mod. However, I think it's important to enforce a no-tolerance approach on cheaters as mods.

it's the same reason reverse mafia, gallis hunter, etc shouldn't be blacklisted. custom lobbies have made points even more irrelevant than they used to be and if people just want to have fun and play casual mafia games with a leniently enforced rule set they should be allowed to

i wasn't really around for the whole cakerz thing so i don't get it. i just thought it was funny when a new anime alt showed up on the forums everyone instantly assumed i was appleofmyeye even though as far as im aware i act nothing like her
i don't even know what shots you really talk about. there was that one call-out where i half-joked about you letting apple on your account which devolved into me reportedly doing a terrible job of owning you while actually being right.
apple should have me blocked, so here i go: when apple said what she said in that thread, i shut up and PM'd people to shut up too. after it was all cooled down, i didn't treat her like a precious butterfly and went about my regular posting. the only reason for her to construe it as any form of bullying is if someone like you told her she did nothing wrong and that we're all meanies, which isn't true

those were actually his words but yes, they could have had hidden/secondary meaning okay. it really was a wrong conclusion to make. i will admit that i was puffing my chest in that thread about refusing to work with you - if i HAD been approached i'd have basically stayed away from you because disagreeing with you would be basically in-mod drama-bait. but i wouldn't go as far as playing nice because playing nice is not a good experience for anyone involved (especially when you know it's only pretend). i don't see how it's feasibly possible for him to come to this conclusion when the only evidence of drama-seeking was when i celebrated the mod leak

there's nothing wrong with fp players doing their own thing in their own games, and if a separate meta develops around it then that's okay because everyone has a right to enjoy the site however they want to enjoy it
i would absolutely like it if games were played a little differently but it's not my right to make that demand of everyone else

bill, your version isn't quite accurate. i don't blame you because you also don't know all of the things about it. i'm not really gonna go into it here though, again, if someone wants to know my perspective of the cakerz situation then I would be happy to explain it in PM. the ethical dilemma is whether connor has an obligation to stop doing something that's objectively totally fine to do if it bothers someone else for unreasonable reasons
Sure "fixing how people play villager" may entail essential parts of this game like logic, reason, communication, etc. but beyond specific anti-town behaviors like refusing to play to win and refusing to communicate, I'd never dictate to someone that they need to adopt a style of play like mine. I wouldn't even at attempt a full scale reform without the input of someone as crucial to this site as you are, because ultimately yes I want to fix the game for myself, but I want to fix the game for you and everyone else that's regulated to these forums.

tl;dr version: she was actually really upset about being criticized because she doesn't take criticism well, and connor's attitude was "i'm not saying anything offensive, there's no reason for you to be upset" which is a) true and b) unfair because he doesn't get to decide what does or doesn't upset someone else

Sims44s+1 I don't remember too much about the cakerz thing and if it extends beyond the forum but Connors posts at the time weren't that bad
Agreed but PJ matt told me Connor did some screwed up stuff. Doesn't sound like anything Connor would do though
